As we wrap up another busy, inspiring year, we want to take a moment to look back at everything our Dayton Valley Turf and Bonsai Blue community accomplished together. From hands-on workshops to meaningful environmental initiatives, 2025 has been a year rooted in growth, learning, and connection.
Here’s a look at some of the highlights that made this year so special, and how they’re shaping what’s to come.
Spring Success: Mother’s Day & Early Season Wins 🌱
We kicked off the year with one of our strongest Mother’s Day seasons yet. The Mother’s Day Sale brought in families, gardeners, and first-time growers eager to start fresh projects. Seeing so many yards brightened with new plants was a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do.
Spring also marked the beginning of our planting with purpose focus, helping customers choose plants that support soil health, save water, and create thriving ecosystems.
The Sod Squad! 👷
Another exciting addition this year was the launch of The Sod Squad, our dedicated turf & irrigation support team.
Your lawn deserves more than just great sod; it needs expert care, the right foundation, and guidance when things get tricky. That’s where the Sod Squad comes in. 🌱
Whether you’re a homeowner, DIY landscaper, or property manager, our team is ready to visit your site, assess any issues, and put together a tailored plan to bring your lawn back to life.
Pollinator Week: Supporting the Creatures That Support Us 🐝
Pollinator Week was another major milestone. Between our educational posts, in-store features, and customer engagement, we loved seeing how many of you are dedicated to protecting bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects.
This week wasn’t just a celebration; it sparked ongoing conversations in our community about native plants, biodiversity, and sustainable landscapes.
Launch of the Horticultural Stewardship Program 🌿
One of our proudest achievements this year was the introduction of our Horticultural Stewardship Program.
This program is all about helping homeowners and growers take a more intentional, informed, and environmentally responsible approach to their landscapes. By focusing on long-term soil care, water management, and smart plant choices, we hope to make it easier for our community to create landscapes that thrive for years to come.
Fall Workshop: Preparing for the Seasons Ahead 🍂
Our Fall Workshop was one of the most hands-on events of the year, and we were thrilled by the turnout. Rick, our horticultural guru, shared valuable insights on:
-
building healthy soil,
-
choosing resilient plants,
-
preparing lawns for cooler weather, and
-
improving irrigation for better long-term success.
Many of you told us afterwards how much more confident you feel going into winter, and that’s exactly why we host workshops like these.
Looking Ahead: What’s Growing for 2026 ✨
While we’re not revealing everything just yet, we can say this: 2026 is shaping up to be our most exciting year so far.
Expect:
🌼 More workshops & hands-on learning, building on the success of this year
🌿 New resources & tools to help grow healthier landscapes
📣 More community involvement as we expand our stewardship mission
🌱 Fresh planting inspiration as we continue refining our soil-first approach
We can’t wait to share more soon.
Thank You for Growing With Us
Whether you attended an event, asked a question, shared photos of your garden, or simply stopped by the yard, you’ve been a meaningful part of our year.
We’re grateful for this community, and we can’t wait to keep growing with you in the new year.
